As part of her commitment to professional development, Genia regularly participates in training programs and is a regulated member of the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). She also holds certifications from Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC) and the Canadian Academy of Audiology (CAA). Additionally, she is certified in Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT) and Cerumen (earwax) Management, adhering to best practices and the CASLPO code of ethics.

Her academic credentials include a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D) with honours from A.T. Still University, a Master of Health Science (M.Sc.S.Aud) with honours in Audiology from the University of Ottawa, and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) with honours from the University of Montreal. Originally from Ukraine, Genia provides audiological services in English, French, Ukrainian, and Russian.

Genia immigrated to Canada at 12 years old and discovered her passion for audiology in Montreal. After working for global hearing companies in Ottawa, she founded and operates the Ottawa Hears Audiology, Tinnitus, and Hearing Aid Centre. Her family taught her perseverance, inspired by her surgeon grandfather. Genia thrives in high-paced environments, continuously learning and evolving. Outside of work, she enjoys nature, hiking, kayaking, and spending quality time with her husband, two kids, family, and friends.
